Rock Concert - Kings Ransom & Jordan Biel

Kings Ransom & Jordan Biel

February 6, 2016 @ New Leaf Event Center

Kings Ransom was formed in the fall of 1995. Founder Dane Scott, formerly of the Erie,Pa metal band, “Mars”, handled vocals and guitar joined by bass player, Randy Lamb, and drummer, Mike Rhodabarger.  The band’s  six song EP, “Every knee shallbow” soon was released in the Spring of 1996.

A second full length release, “Lord of your life”, followed in 1998. Both CD’s were recorded at TRS Audio in Erie, Pa. engineered by Keith Veschecco with oversight by Henrik Ostergaard of “Dirty Looks.”

Keith Simko replaced Mike Rhodabarger on drums in late 1998 and the band’s third release, “Storm on the Horizon”, was released in 2000. The tracks were recorded at Scott’s “Retroland” studio in Ohio and mixed at TRS Audio once again. The fourth and current release, “HeadCrusher” was completed at Retroland in 2008. It was at this time that Randy Lamb passed away after a short illness. The band decided to not continue without their great friend to hold down the low end and disbanded.

Recently, in fall 2015, Dane Scott was approached about about performing a concert to help raise money for a local youth group trip to “Winterfest” in Kentucky in the spring of 2016. Dane’s bass player from “The Creed Tribute”, Paul Ketchum, agreed to play bass. With Keith Simko on board the band is currently preparing for the upcoming show Saturday February 6, 2016 at the New Leaf Event Center in Conneaut, Ohio.  More shows and a new CD may follow,  so the excitement is already building!
